Looking to put a team together for a creative project? Unpaid or paid? This is a thread about that.

ORANGECOW.ORG PROJECTS

VIDEO GAME [unpaid/deferred]

We are currently working on a video game project, intended for a Kickstarter. We are looking for programmers proficient in Unity3D, as well as concept artists, 3D modellers, Photoshop colorists and 2D and 3D animators. There is some opportunity for pay if the Kickstarter is successful. Contact gilchristgarrett at gmail.com.

COLORISTS [unpaid, probably]

Looking for Photoshop colorists for various art projects. There may be pay eventually, though not at this point. Contact gilchristgarrett at gmail.com. See my artwork here:

THIEF AND THE COBBLER SUBTITLES

Interested in finding people to create subtitles for The Thief and the Cobbler Recobbled Cut Mk4. We had English, Spanish and Russian subtitles for the 2008 Mk3 version, but those need to be retimed and redone now. [The Mk4 version has different timing and additional scenes.] A retimed/corrected English version could become the guide for translations to multiple languages. (Update: some subtitles have been completed, so many thanks. I'll have to update this. Also looking for Japanese to English translations for another project.)

DOCTOR WHO LOST EPISODE ANIMATIONS [unpaid]

Flash-style animators and video editors are wanted to recreate scenes from lost episodes of Doctor Who from the 1960s. From 2007-2009 I created a huge library of animation art for these episodes and produced several tests. This art is now available to anyone who is serious about animating scenes from 60s Doctor Who. Recommended programs: Anime Studio [Moho], Final Cut Pro or Adobe Premiere [or other video editing software], Flash, After Effects. Contact gilchristgarrett at gmail.com. More info:

SHAMELESSLY SHE-HULK [unpaid]

Looking for CGI effects artists to finish a few scenes. Before the Marvel Cinematic Universe hit it big with Iron Man, I made a feature called Shamelessly She-Hulk, half of which has been released to Youtube. The effects for many scenes were never completed. It could be a great side project for a CGI animator building up a portfolio. I may even be able to release some footage to a video editor for editing, especially in the Los Angeles area, though that would take some convincing. Contact gilchristgarrett at gmail.com. DIGITAL8

Also, if anyone has an old Sony Digital8 camcorder lying around, let me know. Especially if you don't want it anymore. I should grab one - I have lots of old footage in that format, some of it unreleased.

Looking for actors, artists, camera folk and programmers for current and future stuff. I'm near UCLA this month. Unpaid, and some of it is on the backburner right now due to needing work, but I'd like to know if anybody's around in the Los Angeles area (or can do clean remote work). Contact gilchristgarrett at gmail as per usual.

If you would like, I can possibly provide digital art help if you're working with old digital video from standard definition, interlaced sources. I am proficient in using AVISynth scripts to deblend bad NTSC-to-PAL conversion jobs and removing noise patterns or colour matching footage from different sources. What do you need exactly? Is there anything i can help with?

I have a YouTube channel where I post some videos about projects I'm working on, and I also do some work on projects for 88FIlms unpaid as a hobby.

Hi. I haven't updated this thread in awhile. I really should.

It's possible that you may be able to help with the Super Mario Bros movie restoration. While I did lot of work (including in AviSynth) improving the quality of the VHS-sourced footage, it is still somewhat frame-blended and does not match the Blu-Ray or commercial VHS color-wise, which is something I'm working on (although this has been on pause for a few months).

I'm sorry for the late reply. I forgot this forum existed. If you still need help and I can help you with that, then if I can sure.
