Very nice!

These days I often see good poster scans/photos on the Heritage Auctions website.

These days I'm also trying to scan things at 600 dpi to deal with dot moire.

Well Rock & Rule was deleted from Youtube. Again.

The MustaCostaFortune and the Canadian VHS rips are still up, though.

Sorry to hear. I know the feeling well. Youtube is a no man's land these days if you're serious about reworking existing content.

"My Name is Mok" full version music video (Lou Reed, from Rock & Rule) as aired on Night Flight. HQ copy.

Apparently there's a clean version of the movie mix of Pain and Suffering now

With Rock & Rule, I remember having to edit together low quality and high quality versions of the songs.

If the instrumentation is the same on the extra verses, perhaps the low quality vocals could be put over the high quality instrumentals, using Spleeter for a basic vocal/instrumental spleet.

This could help "Angel's Song," "Maybe For Sure," "Triumph," "Invocation Song," and possibly "My Name Is Mok" although we now have a Night Flight source for that one.

"Hot Dogs and Sushi" and "Send Love Through" were from the film itself only, making Spleeting a good idea.

Hello people! I registered an account here so I could share my remastered version of "Invocation Song" using the raw mono source from the cassette. (I used the .ac3 as a reference to try to match the sound after splitting the mono track into stems and then mixing those back down to a stereo track.) I really just did it for my own enjoyment and thought some others here might appreciate it, especially since I couldn't really find a remastered version anywhere else online. Anyway, here's a link to a folder with a .wav and a 320kbps .mp3

Invocation Song (Cassette Demo)
Dennis196492 wrote: Sat Aug 15, 2020 3:00 am That is REALLY nice. Though it's worth stressing that the mono cassetes are slowed down by 4%, so they're lower pitched than they should be.

You're doing one for Triumph and My Name is Mok too?
Garrett Gilchrist wrote: Sat Aug 15, 2020 5:51 am 4% slowdown or pitch shift is a lot, I'm not sure that's true. But feel free to fix.
Can anyone else confirm if the mono cassette rips are slowed down?

Also, I wasn't originally planning on working on more tracks, but if there are others interested, that would give a little more motivation...

You can compare them to the movie versions to be sure of the speed.

They may be slow in some cases (Invocation Song?)

Watch out for brickwalling (that version of Invocation Song looks very brickwalled now, which the cassette was not).

"FM-TV" was another television music video venture from the Night Flight team. In one 1983 episode (listed as episode 6), they screen a string of Rock & Rule music videos.

My Name is Mok, Dance Dance Dance, Pain and Suffering, Born to Raise Hell, and Angel's Song.

"I'm the Man" and "My Name Is Mok" also appeared on Night Flight, and "Pain and Suffering."

I've updated the info accordingly. These may be better sources for some songs.
