Definitely sounds like a rough demo. Him singing his own backing vocals, etc.

I wonder if it's from a video or an interview, since it cuts to the movie in the end. I'll put it on Youtube.

Better with some Audacity noise reduction I expect.

From "The Home Boxset, Track 10/12."

Actually it looks like a cover version. Guitarist/vocalist Andrew Deutsch, keyboardist/vocalist Eric Morrison and bassist/vocalist Brad Truax.

Stephen Biro from Unearthed Films commented on my video:
So... what is this? Is this the Canadian version... off of our blu, but with more color correction? Do you have a master of R&R we don't know about??? Cause taking a quick look at it what you did, ... I see dust, scratches and whatnot... and the version we had... was supposed to be the only... digi-beta master of the Canadian version left. Prints were destroyed in a fire... only one was left and it was piece meal of different prints and it was the MGM version.. Wasn't happy with the Canadian version on digi... so we did all the restoration and color correction on the print since the other was a digibeta.

Go to Gamma Ray Digital and look at the portfolio: Case Studies, Rock & Rule for our in depth review of our full restoration of the film and music from the only existing materials back in 2005. I'm curious... not taking it down, just want to know whats up with the restoration you said you did with it.

And man... why do you have a link to download the movie? You don't own it...so delete that... please.

My Rock & Rule poster finally arrived!

It's a little sheetsized pamphlet of sorts which I'm not 100% sure of its purpose, but it lists the distributor as being 20th Century Fox, which sounds about right since they still handle MGM distribution over here.

The print quality is done in glossy paper and it looks very solid and colorful, couldn't ask for anything better for something this old and obscure, but the scan I did washed out the colors a bit and compressed the small print specs where the scan doesn't do the actual thing justice in my opinion, the bend on the middle is less noticeable in the real thing too.
