No thank you.

Quentin Tarantino accomplished what he was going for with those films, and uncut versions of them are already available elsewhere.

Borat Subsequent Moviefilm is shocking, disturbing and hilarious. It satirizes and exposes racism and sexism in Trump culture, while still working as a movie in its own right, full of outrageous and scandalous humor. Rudy Giuliani is truly evil onscreen, and there's also a chilling accidental cameo by Mike Pence. Maria Bakalova is a delight as Borat's daughter, who must overcome the sexism of her father's culture, and the advances of Rudy Giuliani.

It's been too long for me to compare it to his previous work, and the Kazakhstan segments were a bit much, but the father/daughter storyline works great, and the movie is very of the moment, with a lot to say about 2020.

Two major restoration projects are currently in the works:

Warner Bros. and Cinerama Inc. are restoring The Wonderful World of the Brothers Grimm, the last true Cinerama film in need of restoration (the others have been restored and released through Warner and Flicker Alley):

Following their successful Kickstarter restoration of Africa Screams, the 3D Film Archive is holding a Kickstarter campaign to restore another Abbott and Costello film, Jack and the Beanstalk.

I wasn't aware of this, but the "Workprint Trading" community has gotten really toxic in the age where we're not trading VHS anymore, and anyone can get anything via torrents.

It's all a lot of death threats, lies, posturing, trolling, just insanely bad behavior.

They all want to have something no one else has, so they can have leverage for trading for stuff. But they're still just trading the same 10th generation VHSes from the 90s, of stuff like The Mask workprint. It's all stuff that's really easy to get, and the quality hasn't improved since the 90s.

And if you look at the trade lists of someone like that, anything I would be interested in on that list, was my own releases. That they've done something gross to, to wreck the quality, like all the weird Little Shop of Horrors releases you see now.

And if you ask a few questions, you find out that they haven't watched any of it. They're taking credit for it and just hoping it's rare.

Well, it ain't.

I'm a film restorationist and preservationist, so I'm ACTUALLY finding, restoring, and releasing stuff nobody else has, or which is hard to find in good quality, and it often costs thousands of dollars that I don't have. Nobody in the general public had ever seen this version of Super Mario Bros, or the Little Muppet Monsters unaired episodes I uncovered, or a lot of the stuff I do.

I've done some restorations which ARE genuinely rare. The guy who runs the great Book of the Dead Evil Dead website, I did restorations for him that no one else has, so that he would have some bargaining leverage for other rare stuff. I hope that worked out for him.
