I am increasingly frustrated with modern Doctor Who. The cast is always charming, the showrunners not so much.

I've blocked out most of the Steven Moffat era, perhaps due to the trauma of the last few years, but it often left a bad taste in my mouth, vaguely portraying the Doctor as a sex creep. It was also a show which wanted to appear clever at all times without doing the groundwork to actually be clever.

The current showrunner writes the show as if he's afraid to break it, and his choices have revealed the entire fanbase to be a bunch of old bigots. I'd like to see that fandom burn.
