Re: Muppet Thread: The Henson Legacy
The Jim Henson Hour "Dog City" (which won an Emmy) and "Monster Maker" were released on laserdisc in Japan. The specials have been released elsewhere without Jim Henson Hour branding, which means the US DVD release is missing the 9-minute intro (and has poor sound, which is fixed here).
Laserdiscs of Secrets of the Muppets and Living With Dinosaurs were planned but never released.

A rare Sesame Street episode has been added to the Library of Congress this week, and in what I'm sure is just a stunning crazy wacky coincidence, has also been uploaded to Reddit and Mega. Enjoy.

original Zoot endings for: Muppet Show with Kaye Ballard, Loretta Lynn, Harry Belafonte, Juliet Prowse, Dudley Moore, Mac Davis, Roger Miller.
Also Muppet Show series 4/5 endings, generally / generically (Chris Langham episode also, as that's been pulled from Disney+ for obvious reasons, and circulates in VHS quality)
It's also not uncommon for Muppet Show episodes to have episode promos at the end of the master tapes.

"I Come For to Sing" / " A Horse Named Bill"
Sam and Friends was Jim Henson's first television series, a five-minute show that aired twice daily on WRC-TV, the NBC affiliate in Washington, D.C. from May 9, 1955 to December 15, 1961.
This is a reconstruction of the last episode, and a related episode, using available and similar materials.

Re: Muppet Thread: The Henson Legacy
Revisiting the View-Master Interactive Vision
So here's something I've been trying to preserve for about ten years. We failed back then but I'm trying again this month.
The View-Master Interactive Vision was a very unusual series of VHS tapes which had data on the sides, which included an additional track of audio at left (waveform?), and video gameplay data at right (binary?). It displayed graphics in the manner of the MSX/Colecovision/SG-1000, and had simple gameplay at times (like a Mickey Mouse Frogger situation).
Two tapes featured the cast of The Muppet Show including Jim Henson, and four featured the cast of Sesame Street. One featured Disney footage reused from the Disneyland TV series.
I've never gotten a capture of these which preserves the original interlaced 60fps frame rate (except for Muppet Mania which was misaligned), which is why I'm now trying to do it myself.
With all seven tapes, and, hopefully, in better quality than ever before. I'm hoping that we can, eventually, also decode the onscreen waveforms and binary digitally; we'll see about that.

Re: Muppet Thread: The Henson Legacy
Here are backup MiniDV captures (and scans) of the seven View-Master Interactive Vision VHS tapes.
https://archive.org/details/view-master ... n-muppets/
Torrent download is recommended.
RF captures have also been done by Titan91. The RF captures will give better results but are not yet decoded. Neither preserves gameplay currently. (The format has optical audio at left and some binary data at right for gameplay and graphics.)
Two are Muppet Show, four are Sesame Street, one is Disney (and more gameplay focused).
The interlacing line structure for Muppet Madness has been "off" in every capture I've seen, so I'm thinking maybe it was actually mastered that way, with the picture being shrunk down slightly in a way that destroyed the line structure.
If you just want to watch them casually, there are playthroughs at this Youtube channel, which preserve most of the alternate audio and gameplay:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5BwAmolUC1s
Several good scans of the cover art are available, which I should do more work on.
Here are Video RF and audio recordings for the (mostly Muppet related) View-Master Interactive Vision tapes.
(The video needs to be decoded, using the vhs-decode branch of the Domesday Decoder project for Linux.)

(Apparently the extra optical audio at left, and the binary data at right, on this interactive VHS format, are causing sync issues in VHS_decode. The program itself may have to be rewritten before these are decodable. The Domesday community may look at this and attempt to fix the problems. TBC adjustments, shelf detection?)
Torrent download is recommended.
