The Chosen Ones is the story of a group of young people attempting to save the world from alien invasion, and other otherworldly events, while also dealing with the realities of modern life.
The strip was written and drawn by Garrett Gilchrist in 2010 and 2011.
It was based on a series of three feature-length screenplays, the first of which was written in 2005. It was originally conceived as an animated series. The upshot of this was that the strip was written 800 pages in advance. Many aspects were being fleshed out and updated for the comic version, which often made it longer.
After 69 installments, the comic was left unfinished and some work was not published. The plot had not advanced enough during this time, and Gilchrist did not have the time to continue work on the comic. He was also still thinking over how to update some aspects of the story.
