With thanks to J.T. Toad's site, dedicated to stopping any and all attempts to tear down Disney's Mr. Toad's Wild Ride. In an effort to spread the informative wealth I include here, in its entirety, the entire Links page from that lovely site, with various Wind in the Willows web efforts.
Sometimes, in the course of long summer evenings, the friends would
take a stroll together in the Wild Wood, now successfully tamed so far as
they were concerned; and it was pleasing to see how respectfully they were
greeted by the inhabitants, and how the mother-weasels would bring their
young ones to the mouths of their holes, and say, pointing, "Look, baby!
There goes the great Mr. Toad!"
--- Kenneth Grahame, The Wind in the Willows
The Book
-
The Wind in the Willows (online)

-
The Adventures of Mr. Toad (Happy Disney Version)
- Disney's version of The Wind in the Willows, actually a
re-telling of their animated version of the story of "the madcap, the
reckless, extravagant, the fabulous Mr. Toad". For some reason the
motorcars say "Honk honk!" instead of "Poop-poop!" as they do in the
original, but it's bright and cheery with lots of pictures and a large
font. "You know, for kids."
-
An Homage to The Wind in the Willows
- A very pleasant site with some illustrations (but not the wonderful EH
Shepard ones) and some interesting quotes from AA Milne and Teddy

The Wind in the Willows (1996) Advertisement
- There's not much available on the web (or anywhere else) to
support this film. It looks like it was released by Columbia, which is
owned by Sony. Nothing on the Sony site about it. Went to the Columbia
UK site and it's under construction. Oh well, here's an advertisement for
it in a New York newspaper. Extremely limited release. Proof that
it exists, but probably not in A Theatre Near You.
- The Wind in the Willows (1996) Variety Review
- Quite favorable review of the new-ish movie. Well, at least
someone's seen it. According to the review, "Sony is letting a
delightful film slip through the cracks".
-
The Wind in the Willows (1996) Orange County Register Review
- Another glowing review, this one bemoaning Sony's "apparent
indifference to its own film".

Mr. Toad's Wild Ride on Video
- That's right, the entire right (and more weasel-intensive) side of The
Ride, captured on fuzzy, poorly auto-focussing video for your viewing
pleasure! This is in mpeg format, so be sure you can see that. And be
warned: This 18M file is not for those without patience and a beefy
Internet connection. It's big, but it's worth it!
