Garrett writes:
Although Niket Doshi only starred in two OCP movies before his tragic and untimely death over Christmas break 2001 ... two days before his 21st birthday ... he had already become one of OCP's most beloved and recognized stars, thanks to his natural comic timing and amazing martial arts skills. More than that, Niket was a great friend to everyone who knew him, and one of my favorite people in the entire world.

Words cannot do him justice. We miss him every day. Out of respect to Niket, we will reproduce below his original cast bio, the second part of which Niket wrote himself.
Did you know - Niket was also the head of the Tae Kwon Do society at Columbia University. Niket was actually sort-of kind-of almost making movies with Garrett before OCP even began, as he was cast as "Crock" in "Star Track," for an unfinished 6th grade class project called "Square Two," no tape of which exists now (as far as I know). You could also see him applauding in Mr. Miller's class in Dr. Fred 2 and hear his marvelous drumming, before his real screen debut as Darth Ass-kick in "The Phantom Movie," much of which was shot with his family's camcorder and high-powered battery. (The same battery was used to make "The Animal Game" possible) I also stole his robe to play Gerald in both movies. The "Darth Ass-Kick" makeup turned Niket's lips and teeth purple and hair a striped red ... we had to explain to his parents that we weren't dressing him in drag or anything. Most of Niket's "Phantom Movie" scenes were shot in one or two takes. Usually one. The best scenes in the film, Niket nailed in one take. He was a rare talent.

You might find this OCP roadie wandering the streets of New York claiming
to study biochemistry at Columbia, but he's an impostor: the Real Niket is
just a wild eyed little indian boy with way too much experience in martial
arts for his own good.
Niket became involved after seeing the light at Fred I's hometown premiere
so very long ago. Completely blown away at the sheer insanity of the
company and realizing that all this time he could have helped, Niket
threw the vast Doshi empire's resources behind Fred: a Hi8 video camera,
his backyard, doorstep, and what little skill he had in playing drums.
Doing some of the music on Fred 2 was not gratifying enough for this comic
mishap, so for Fred 3, besides co-writing the score and playing
drums, Niket took over fight choreography and made warriors out David Ashe
and Justin Bielawa. Throwing behind thirteen years of Tae Kwon Do and
countless hours of watching Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan, Jet Li, Michelle Yeoh,
and E. Honda into the development of Orange Cow Kung Fu, Niket's work is
visible on the final fights in Fred III: The Phantom Movie, and the
upcoming Spatula in the Stone.

Niket's screen debut as Darth-Asskick in Phantom Movie saw him creating
havoc while destroying many lightsabers and screaming in a mutated British
accent. Aside from having his face painted red, Niket enjoyed the
experience so much he stayed on to choreograph and fight in Spatula in the
Stone.
On Spatula, Niket learned to fence and play up his ethnic side under the
tutelage of Gilchrist and Ashe while managing to choreograph a swashbuckling
foil fight.
As of late, this boy has been honing his Tae Kwon do, learning new fancy
kicks, flips, and various other stunts for his next big break with
OCP...if he can ever Escape from New York like Kirk Russell did so well 20
years ago.
i hope this is okay ... maybe a little too long for an extra like
me.... here's concise version :
"TO T ! Props to mah OCP krew in
tha CT...y'all iz mad cool! I iz da mad ass indian nigga frum Phantom
Movie, check it y'all, i slashed dat shit up wit double
light-sabaahhh...yeah, fo' real biatch! I also busted mad phat beats for
dat flick. Mah otha hot ass job wuz da Lord of da Sword, in which i fucked
more shit up wit ma nasty ass sword, cuz i be a thug-ass bitch like dat.
Respect y'all, and word is bond. Peace."
okay... maybe not...
I completely forgot about square two... i have hazy memories of David
Gordon taping my ears up. And large double bridge plastic glasses. Does
6th grade count as OCP? i mean, the orange cow wasn't even invented
yet... and as a hard core fan of the Tao of Cow, i must say that square two
is a definite postmodern statement on the condition of our lost
youths... the moment the camera raped our fragile egos, and we stopped
chewing our spiritual cuds... ok now i'm really laying on the beatnik
bullshit.
hey, if you want to throw in the square 2 thing... it can be like my deep
dark secret with fred... before OCP.... before Fred... before even Einar
Duckman... there was square 2... and I was Crock... the lost little vulcan
tape job... (cue emotional overload violin music)... My name is Niket, and
this is my story. Word is bond.
hehe
