The "Fantasmalon" scene in Excaliburger was shot almost a year after the rest of the movie, in the hallway outside my dorm room. Paul Zirkle, Harry Pottash (who worked on my student films) and my girlfriend Mariana McConnell hit me with a big blue puppet over and over, and some drunks up on the third floor threw eggs at us as we shot. Damn them. One of the egg splats is used in the movie as the dead "guts" of the Fantasmalon. The puppet was designed by me, Garrett Gilchrist, and built by (my mother) Marie Andersen and myself. These pictures were taken right after we built it. It didn't have eyes yet at this point, and I just drew the eyes in, so note that it has different eyes here than in the finished movie.
