It can be childishly easy to hack our voting machines. Which may explain the unusual results in past Presidential elections, which didn't match polls in key states and counties.

As many have pointed out, the complete takeover of our government already happened. More and more with each administration since Reagan. Including Clinton running on suspiciously right-wing values that drove the right to full fascism and dirty tricks.

While friends of Chris Hardwick (including several of his exes) have defended him against abuse allegations (with the premise that maybe his other relationships weren't like that), close friends of Chloe Dykstra at the time continue to -- fairly quietly -- come forward as eyewitnesses to the whole thing.

1975 cartoon about capitalism by Fred Wright. The worker is perpetually undervalued for work which has a higher value to the company, while the CEO/boss/owner is able to, after expenses, profit from every employee's work en masse and become massively wealthy. Jeff Bezos of Amazon earns a million dollars in an eyeblink, while his workers are treated like animals - he pockets what he could be paying them. Unless forced to by law, Bezos would (and will) never pay taxes or pay his workers a living wage.

A former Tesla employee working in IT (so he says) speaks out about what a mess the networked software is on the cars, and by extension what a mess the corporate culture is there.

It's very technical but some of it isn't.

(Probably from the SomethingAwful-adjacent YOSPOS forum, and reads like it.)

It seems like there's an age range hit the hardest, as a whole, by the economic collapse, and continue to struggle the most now.

People who entered the job market just as everything went to hell, and because of that have severe underemployment or no employment at all.

Everyone is being lied to about the economy's health, but this group is being lied to even more.

They were never let into the economy, and are now being kept out due to how that looks on a resume.

This group is people who tried to enter the workforce (whether they spent time in college or not, whether it was for the first time or after a work gap) within a range of time before and after the meltdown. I'd say approximately 2005-2010. If you got fucked around then, you're probably still fucked now, in my experience.

Seeing hundreds of reports from New York, that voters were turned away at the polls for supposedly not being registered, and had to fill out affadavit ballots, which are counted later and basically don't count, since there's always a rush to declare the winner. Andrew Cuomo, a more conservative Dem, had been challenged by Cynthia Nixon. This disproportionately affected more progressive voters and seems to be vote suppression. People were turned away who've been registered at the same address for over a decade.
