Recovered scripts from 2001. The scripts to two little short films I made in 2001, Ghostbusted and Mort, were mostly lost for years. This past week I found hard copies in storage and scanned them in.
Mort is an adaption of the Discworld novel by Terry Pratchett. It would have run about 45 minutes or an hour as an animated piece. All the voices were recorded, and a 25 minute student film was created. All the animation was done very quickly as stop motion in a few days. There wasn't time to complete the entire longer film as intended. I edited together a lot of the unused audio for a featurette in 2005.
Mort:

I wrote it quickly one night while attending the fest. However, all the filmmakers in attendance were on vacation and not in the mood to shoot such an ambitious script. What was actually shot was slapdash, messy, and bizarre, and led to two sequels - the even more bizarre mess called Ghostbusted 2, and the more straightforward Ghostbusted 3.
The original script is a completely different animal -- and what's clear is I'd written myself the funniest part -- an overly talkative Rick Moranis character, Louis. [Very "Radio Man."]
