I finally got the original score to ALADDIN uploaded! I put all the demos from The Music Behind the Magic and the extended demo to "Arabian Nights" I put together: http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL ... ryLKqdeMps

I've started uploading excerpts to The Nightmare Before Christmas workprint onto DAD. View them here: http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL ... hpRdaflEZE

Also, I've started to do what I wanted to do when I first started the channel, but couldn't because I was terrible at keeping up with it. I'm keeping up a schedule of releasing a video once a day, five days a week, instead of dumping over a dozen videos all at once, over a year apart. I'll finish up Nightmare, move onto "Beauty and the Beast," then upload workprint excerpts to "The Lion King."

The Oogie Boogie stuff is particularly "interesting" in that workprint.

It's a bit puzzling to me. This must have been the original actor (actors?) that they later recast, because the singing voice has the same kind of quality Danny Elfman's demo had before they went with the Audrey II-type route.

I personally don't think the singing voice sounds like Danny Elfman, since it sounds so different from his demo. And the speaking voice, in a lot of the bits I've heard, sounds like Mark Hamill's Joker voice (this was made probably around the same time he got the Joker role), but the singing voice still sounds nothing like him.

All of The Nightmare Before Christmas workprint excerpts have been uploaded. View them here: http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL ... hpRdaflEZE

Tomorrow, I'll go live on the comparison video of the 1934 / 1941 versions of the Mickey Mouse "Orphan’s Benefit" shorts. A slightly more detailed background can be found here (http://disneytrivia.tumblr.com/post/88295334743) and on Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Orphan's_Benefit), but in a nutshell, Walt Disney commissioned a Mickey Mouse two-reeler in 1939 called "Mickey's Revival Party" in preparation of Mickey's 12th anniversary, which would involve various clips from previous shorts. (The idea was later scrapped.) It was decided to redo various classic shorts for it - adding color and updating the character models - including "Orphan's Benefit," which ended up being the only short completed.

Since the remake is a shot-for-shot remake, and I couldn't find a great comparison video, I made one myself. (Since the soundtrack is nearly identical with the exception of the final line, I replaced the comparison audio track I made with the 1941 audio because it sounded weird.) It's unlisted here, and it'll go public tomorrow: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LMraaNaZFso

My next planned set is Beauty and the Beast. I have all of the plain, stationary picture videos uploaded for all of the demos, and I've started work on the demo syncs. I already have the syncs to "Belle" (the demo to which has never been uploaded before) and it's reprise uploaded here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NJpdSYcPrBs) and here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7nu1ixAhkAU). (I wanted to use the work-in-progress cut of the movie for the demo syncs, but I lost my DVD of the movie a while ago and I can't find it.) These aren't the best demo syncs I've done, but they're far from the first ones I ever did.

I'd planned on releasing the Beast demos after the Nightmare workprints, but since I want "Be Our Guest" to go out second, and that and Human Again will be bigger projects than the rest of the demo syncs, I'm thinking about finally uploading the Little Shop workprint excerpts to The Little Shop Archive to give myself more time.

Most of the Little Shop workprint clips are uploaded, with the exception of "Feed Me (Get It)" (which was blocked because of copyright), the final misc. video, and Garrett's restorations. To give me even more time to get the Beauty and the Beast demos syncs done, on The Demo Archive I'll be uploading demo syncs of Anthony Newley's demos to Willy Wonka. I might also do Danny Elfman's to Charlie, though I'm not sure yet.

CHANCE OF PLANS! I won't be uploading the demos to Willy Wonka to The Demo Archive! I'll be uploading the 2004 demos to "Kind Hearts and Cornets" (later to become "A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder") instead. I'll also upload the 2012 demos if I can get ahold of them.
