For anyone wondering, I still intend on doing The Intended Fan Cut. If you want, you can watch my edits of "Skid Row" (ROUGH, POLISHED) and the cut "nice boys" line. However, I need to scrap everything, since I've found a better quality version of The Director's Cut in HD.

Also, no longer having access to a computer of your own tends to put everything on hold. So yeah...

I'd suggest that you shouldn't watermark everything like that, and that in "Skid Row," using the lower-quality workprint audio for even that short section ruins the song. Definitely something to watch out for.

"Nice boys" is of good enough quality that you should make it match the positioning and color scheme of the theatrical cut as much as possible. If it were me doing it, and getting overly fancy and complicated with it as I do, I'd make it a seamless transition. It might even be possible, if I went crazy in Photoshop and AE, to generate the missing sections of the frame ...

It really helps if you transition (crossfade) the audio rather than a straight cut, JH.

"Skid Row," no matter what, is going to give me a hard time. I just looked at the "possible final" edit of it and it isn't that good, so I may scrap the idea of recreating the workprint version of it all together. And it doesn't sound like it, but there is a slight crossfade on the audio. (Though, I do think a longer crossfade would be better, thanks :)).

And you're right. I don't know what I was thinking with the watermark.

I think I'm gonna use the footage from A Story of Little Shop of Horrors special on the DVD, since it looks closer to the final film. And I think I've figured out how I can match the positioning and color as best I can, though I haven't been able to test it out yet.

Also, I'm figuring out the lyrics to the Little Shop demos for a secret project, and I'm stuck at this lyric to Skid Row. I've listened to it countless times, and I can't figure out what Alan is singing here. Can anyone help?

If it helps, it's during the last verse (where Seymour and Audrey sing in the final show), and the next lyric is "But you don't know a damn thing about the kid." (Here's the full demo if you want to listen it it.)

Worth posting the lyrics to that. And here's a recording by Debbie Shapiro Gravitte.

Where did the girls go?
Where are they now?
I'm gonna find them
Someday, somehow

I wanna know
I wanna know
Was it really that long ago?
Has it really disappeared, is it gone?
How come I feel it rolling on and on?

I wanna know
Won't somebody say
How could it be a part of yesterday?
How could the magic disappear and be gone?
Like Crystal, Ronette and Chiffon

I hear the music and it sounds so great
Could it be that I was born too late?
Cause I can feel it, feel it all around
It's like I'm living in a wall of sound

I wanna know

I wanna know
Am I just living in the afterglow?
I hear their songs and see them standing there
I guess it's crazy, hey but I don't care

I wanna know
I wanna know
Must be a reason why I love them so
It's like a rainbow that I'm riding on
With Crystal, Ronette and Chiffon

Where did the girls go?
Where did they run?
I wanna tell them
They're still, they're still number one

I wanna know
How can I travel back to long ago?
Back to the place I know it all goes wrong
To Crystal, Ronette and Chiffon, sweet Chiffon
