Someone asked: "Are Black student groups wrong? Or Latino student groups? Or any other group that is specific to a race or color?"

Do we really need to explain the difference between a minority student union - who organize networking events - and a white supremacist group - who organize nothing but hate and violence?

We live, unfortunately, in a country where white, straight, cis, male is considered the default. We have a long history of racism and violence against native people, black people, LGBT people, and so on.

If a Filipino student wants to find other Filipino students, he or she is doing so because they're probably underrepresented on campus in other groupings, and they seek to network with like minded people with similar concerns.

If a white male seeks to find a white supremacist group, it's not because whites are underrepresented locally. If he's a college student, he could join pretty much any fraternity or group and be confronted with a sea of white faces. Many of these groups are basically whites-only but do not make it official - it's a grey area but allowing other races in theoretically makes them harmless.

Admitted white supremacist groups, like the Klan and Nazi sympathizers, go beyond that. If a group states outright that it's whites only, they are not a harmless group.

If a white male seeks to join a white supremacist group, it's because he feels that "mostly white" groups are not white enough. He seeks a 100% white male world. He feels that straight white cis males are superior, and that all other groups are inferior and must be confronted with violence, bullying and hate.

He voted for Trump in the hope that Trump would establish America as officially "Whites Only."

Trump's staff can't find the light switches in the White House. Not to worry, Trump is replacing the whole system with gaslighting.

On another note:

Despite all the "patriotism" and "nationalism" (racism) of the far right, today's fascism is really a global movement. The internet has broken down national borders more than ever and we're seeing serious collusion globally as alt-right forces seek to put extremists in power. Putin all but owns Trump, and pol internet trolls, Russian hackers, the FBI and Julian Assange all joined together to attack Hillary Clinton. We've now seen a very similar joining of forces to try to attack Macron. Didn't work this time, but it shows how organized these forces are, and how they're ready to fight for any fascist worldwide.

We saw U.S. GOP reps visit Le Pen, and Trump acting buddy-buddy with some of the worst of the world's leaders. The presence of Trump embolden's the world's worst -- We're seeing gay purges in Chechnya now and the timing is no coincidence.

While what we really need is a leftist in power, my feeling is that with these horrors spreading worldwide, we've just avoided a huge disaster through the defeat of Le Pen, who could have ended the European Union and certainly aided a worldwide push to fascism. The UK is teetering right now, and it's important that the right-wingers in power now fail, and fail visibly, and that they not make a chain of power across the world.

Studies show that racism is at the heart of American attitudes towards welfare. Full stop.
