Bernie Sanders can still take the Democratic nomination if he wins in California on the seventh. We'll see how that goes.

While the media and the Democratic establishment have acted as if Hillary Clinton is already the nominee, and the contest and coverage to date has been suspiciously weighted in her favor, Sanders has managed to match her, nearly neck and neck, throughout the primaries. He's still in the race, but it will all come down to California.

If you actually think that Hillary Clinton is the better candidate, you are probably not a progressive or liberal.

However, for an establishment candidate she's acceptable, and if the choice comes down to her versus Trump, or whoever else crawls out of the GOP swamp, voting for Hillary Clinton is the obvious choice.

If you think that Trump can't win, all the racists in Britain (and Trump) were backing this scheme and they just won.

Brexit has won.

Fuck.

It's like looking at all the people ready to vote for Trump over here. I just want to shout, you idiots! You're being had by con artists who play on your fear and your hate and your stupidity and will immediately destroy the world as you know it! The pound lost 360 billion in value in two hours. It's lost 10 percent of its value this morning. This is insanity, and it just seems to fall on deaf ears as our world is hijacked by psychopaths, who are in this for no one but themselves. Certain people can make a lot of money off a rigged economy which is falling apart -- for a little while. Just like certain people can make a lot of money off of endless wars and endless scams and cons. This was a power grab, and it could be all the way downhill from here if that succeeds. To say nothing of Trump over here ...

Trump can win. I spoke to a black Trump supporter today who talked about how strong Trump is with Hispanics, women, etc ... I think I swayed him a bit but he's too young to vote anyway. He thinks the KKK are harmless but is scared of feminists. He's been told a lot of things.

We are living in an echo chamber. I know few Trump voters, and I hear nothing from them on my feed. Meanwhile they're hearing nothing from us, and radicalizing themselves more and more.

They're getting a COMPLETELY different slant on literally everything than we are. By the time of the election they will be completely ready to vote "against Radical Islam," and against "Criminal Hillary," and therefore for Trump. Somehow.

It takes absurd mental gymnastics to support Trump, but all that work is already done for them by the "news" they're getting here on Facebook and elsewhere.

No matter how horrible he gets and is, they will fall in line because of the power of those around them, and the only-biased news they're getting.

And the biggest problem with Hillary is, a lot of people hate her and will jump through any mental hoop to avoid voting for her. As much as I like them, that's the main reason Obama and then Sanders came out of nowhere to challenge her with historic campaigns.

Every news event gets spun in completely different ways. The right take exactly the opposite conclusions from it that we do. For the left, Orlando was a closeted, angry American, radicalized by right wing media, who sympathized with police and terrorists and hated gays and himself. He shot up a gay club on Latinx night. A tragedy proving the need for compassion and gun control, at a time when gun violence and bigoted hate is far past out of control.

For the right, he was not an American, he was a foreign terrorist trying to do a 9/11 and therefore we need more guns. And Dems will take away your guns because they hate your freedom and want to crush the constitution and are Muslim sympathizers themselves who want scary ISIS to win because Obama is himself a gay Muslim who hates your rights and will take away your guns so he can institute a police state and throw you in FEMA Camps and the solution is MORE GUNS MORE GUNS

The left: Less guns.

The right: MORE GUNS MORE GUNS MORE GUNS

On election day, one of two things will happen. Either (1) Donald Trump will win, or (2) Hillary Clinton will. I've seen a lot of people who consider themselves liberal or progressive spend this entire election season battling against and attacking Hillary. These people are fighting for outcome (1). Don't be like them. Vote Hillary (2). Make sure Trump loses, or else we all will.

Oh thank God, Dilma is out, the Worker's Party is out, all that's left is to send these people to jail and turn the page on this 13-year-old debacle. Meanwhile her supporters cry about it on Facebook because they have nothing else to do.

how do you reconcile BLM and other activist groups who have disowned the Democratic Party with your paternalistic attitude toward this election

BLM is not a monolith. People are free to disagree about politics. I am aware that some other people dislike the Democratic Party and Hillary Clinton. That idea that this would somehow negate the facts or even my opinion is nonsense. Perhaps you know that, which is why you're down to policing my tone.

Black support for the Republican nominee is at something of an all time low. There's a good reason for that.

https://pbs.twimg.com/media/CrZeWDiUsAA-F3I.jpg:large

Donald Trump, as a nominee, represents a threat to our future as a nation unlike anything we've seen before. He represents the worst of everything America is, and he would break us.

Pretty much everyone I know understands this. You understand this. We cannot survive a Trump presidency as a nation. We can't let a Trump presidency happen.

But it's not enough to simply condemn Trump with our words. We have to fight back. We have to oppose him. And we oppose him by supporting his opponent, Hillary Clinton. As citizens we must vote against Trump and for Hillary.

This is a very simple and basic conclusion to come to, but there are many progressives here, including yourself, who refuse to take that last step and endorse the Democratic nominee.

It is frustrating to watch, and you will certainly hear that in my tone. If I come off as paternal maybe you should examine why I'm seeing you as a child.

She is a flawed, establishment candidate. The Democratic establishment as a whole is corrupt and biased and exactly what BLM is fighting against. But they certainly don't want to see a Trump presidency, and that's what we're working against.

I would vote for Hillary Clinton proudly over anyone the Republicans have run in my lifetime. She is qualified and represents her party well. That's not a perfect situation by any means but I'll take it over the alternative.

Dr. Ben Carson - you remember him - was just blaming Hillary for the jump in price of the Epipen, something she had nothing to do with and is now campaigning against. And that's always been the tactic against Hillary. Hold her to a higher standard than any other politician alive, and blame her for literally anything that's wrong with politics in America. That is absurdly unfair. As a member of the Clinton dynasty she does have something to do with what's wrong with our politics, but no other politician could stand up to the scrutiny and attacks as she has and survive. There's something to be said for that.

The media continue to demand absolute transparency from her and look for any kind of smoke to hang her with, while ignoring the raging inferno that is her opponent.

Meanwhile, well-meaning progressives shout that "IF EVERYONE IN AMERICA WRITES IN DONALD DUCK OR FRANKENSTEIN FOR PRESIDENT, THEY CAN WIN!!!!"

No. No, they can't. Either Hillary or Trump will win in November. Either you're fighting for the first outcome - Hillary winning - or you are fighting for Trump.

So do the other thing.
