SO, last time on Torturing Bob Hoskins - Bubblegum Madness:
The US DVD is a piece of shit, and I'm not using it anymore, despite doing whatever to fix the colors. Either way, I finally got my hands on the Swedish DVD! what does that mean? better picture quality, less LaserDisc grain and an nice color balance.
One of the issues with the US DVD release of the film that I didn't noticed until now, is that the shadows are brighter, and the result is everything blending with the background, with nothing standing out, it just looks awful.

This issue is gone with the Swedish DVD, it's as good as the film will ever look.
It's not all good news though, the film itself, due to region, is all sped up to 25fps, and suffers from really bad interlacing towards the end, I can fix it...I guess...
Either way I did some work with it!

This is a re-cut of one of the final scenes from the movie, and that is one thing about the movie I don't like and unfortunately I can't fix, the ending.
In the Theatrical cut, the film ended with the King returning back to normal (In SMB3 fashion), and the Brothers returning to their dimension leaving Daisy behind so she can decide where she belongs, it's an okay scene, though it's a bit too sudden compred to a few seconds earlier when there is a celebration and everyone's happy, could be the fault of it being cut-short.
What follows is what happened 3 weeks later, Daisy breaks into the Brothers appartment, all battle-damaged, packed with guns and Bullet Bills, calling the Brothers out for their help, it's a subtle homage to Back to the Future, but there isn't much to that scene, other than some closure to minor sub-plots, it sorta ruins the previous scene, and with the whole film cut down the way it is, it doesn't matter much.
I removed the scene of Daisy coming back, so the film ends on sort of a sad cliffhanger, which I don't like very much since I like closure. There is also the after-credits scene with some Japanese business men discussing with the comedy-relief characters, Iggy and Spike, what the name of a video game about them would be, I am undecided to keep this scene, or put the scene of Daisy coming back in place of it, so we can have the ''happy cliffhanger'' without breaking tone so sudden as it did on the final film.
