Here is the massive collection of Thief and the Cobbler artwork found at The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences site, as downloaded by me and painstakingly sorted into a more sensible order by LM.

Not sure if this has been mentioned before (if so, I beg your pardon), but while listening to Khachaturian's Gayaneh last night, I found that the Dance of the Mountaineers (heard during the War Machine sequence) was not the only piece from the ballet quoted in the workprint. Not even 10 minutes in, I recognized the music for Tack's final confrontation with the Thief in the section of the prologue titled "The Storm." Again, I apologize if this has already been brought up.

The section quoted in the workprint can be heard at 6:53

Good catch! The sort of thing I could have used when editing the film ...

LM and I have been working on downloading and organizing the massive collection of Thief and the Cobbler artwork provided at The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences site.

LM did a lot of organizing work, but the Academy has now uploaded more material, from both the Williams and Calvert productions, so here is our raw download of all that material.

https://drive.google.com/open?id=1j3AbK ... oO-9Qrcd7w

We've downloaded this as best we could. LM wrote all of the code for the download (compiling sources pulled from the Academy site), then I rewrote the code and downloaded the material. (I'm busy with other projects right now so this was appreciated.)

These are, more or less, in reverse order, as they downloaded. Which means the actual order is a little bit jumbled throughout but not too far off.

There is, I think, a page mostly featuring the Brigands which repeats, suggesting we copy/pasted the same page twice at one point.

There are also about 108 errors where something didn't download, and an XML file downloaded instead - more so toward the end. I've included these in order in case we can figure out what the issue was. (Any typo in the code would have resulted in this, although maybe there weren't pictures there to begin with.)

Here is the original file, which has less stuff but which has been painstakingly organized by LM.

Someone asked for a copy of some of the Thief and the Cobbler pencil test reels. Here is a DVD download of some of that material. I think this was an early version which I probably redid a few years later, but it's what I had at hand. You can play the VIDEO_TS folder on your desktop computer in the free VLC player.
