Sullivan Bluth did some of the song animation under Calvert - unusually bad work actually. This is well known.

Speaking of the songs, the lyricist, Norman Gimbel, has passed away

Oh, sorry if my "normal" didn't come out the right way; I meant it as to say "someone who's accessible, that you can talk to IRL" or "someone you can actually become like", as if usual animation artists were a caste of magic wizards that commoners can't even hope to join. I hope you weren't offended by it!

I only skimmed this video essay, as it doesn't seem like one I'd agree with - emphasizing the flaws of the production (real or imagined) and calling the Recobbled Cut the Recobbled Edition.

It's a very brainless video, it doesn't say anything that hasn't already been said, right or wrong, and like most it parrots the ''animation is good but story is not'' argument.

The kind of people that make these videos review movies through a ''checklist'' of what they think it makes a movie good, as a result they give priority to things that don't matter and gloss over important details, more often they'll just abridge the wikipedia article and look up what other Youtube reviewers think of before making their own video and steal key content or not properly give credit where it's due, like that 50-minute-long Black Cauldron video using my videos and aping off my conclusions I came to after my research which frankly anyone can do because it's just images on the internet.

I wasn't contacted and he shows himself skimming this website and some articles in the video.
If he wanted an informed take he could have contacted me, but they never do, do they?

Here's something interesting ...?

I've been asked by someone on Twitter (MaxCozma) to upload some of the music from the film, so I'll try to get round to doing that.

This was all in the Scrapbook series I'm sure, but it's been awhile.
