Monty Python Thread

I have a Youtube channel dedicated to Monty Python rarities. Back in 1996 I created a Monty Python website called PythoNET which was very popular for about six years. It's gone now, but this Youtube channel lives on.

This Youtube channel is run by Reinier Wels (Spiny Norman) who does a terrific job finding rare Python footage and bringing it to light.

Here is the wonderful SOTCAA writeup about the history of Monty Python and all sorts of rarities from the original scripts, and so on.

Info about the unreleased album "Hastily Cobbled Together For a Fast Buck" - still unreleased!

The focus of my own Python site was largely the more obscure series and projects, like Rutland Weekend Television, At Last the 1948 Show, Out of the Trees, Do Not Adjust Your Set, and indeed Hastily Cobbled. It would be laughably out of date now, and the Youtube channel contains most of that material in video form.

The work of musical Python associate Neil Innes, including the Innes Book of Records series, is well represented here:

and on the Pirate sites, apparently.

At 6:20 in this episode of "It's Marty" with Marty Feldman, Cleese, Chapman, Palin and Jones appear. And Tim Brooke-Taylor, I'd say. Only the audio now exists.

Monty Python fans! You should follow The Monty Python Museum on Youtube. Reinier has done an amazing job tracking down rare projects by the team. Let's help him out a little right now. He's going to buy a very rare recording of the deleted Flying Circus sketch "Choreographed Party Political Broadcast" to be digitally restored. The cost is $105 to do so - high for such a short clip, but if a few people throw him $10 it's no trouble at all. He does great work and deserves the help. His Paypal is itsmartyfeldman (at) gmail .com.
