Mednafen PC Engine CD tutorial.

http://www.zophar.net/multiem/mednafen.html

Run once. Download a PC Engine BIOS package from somewhere.

Copy the file Super CD-ROM2 System V3.00 (J).pce (from the bios package) into the emulator's firmware folder, renaming to syscard3.pce.

Drag and drop .cue or .ccd file for your game onto Mednafen EXE.

Shift+Alt+1 to configure player 1's controller. Make sure the controller is plugged in before you start mednafen. Alt+Enter toggles fullscreen.

SNES Mini - 21 games (Nintendo)
NES Mini - 30 games (Nintendo)
Neo Geo Mini - 40 games (SNK)
Genesis Mini - 42 games (M2)
TurboGrafx-16 Mini - about 52 games (M2)

TG16 had a small US library, but here digs heavily into the Japanese library, where it outsold Sega. Including CDs!

Pac-Man for the 2600 disappointed many by showing the limitations of the system. Ms Pac-Man was advertised as "more than Pac-Man with a bow" and is a better port. Recently, homebrewers have improved on Pac-Man using the same 4k memory limit, or doubling it to 8k.

Cony had already made bootleg NES versions of Street Fighter, Fatal Fury and Mortal Kombat. World Heroes 2 NES bootleg is actually a bizarre crossover with Mario, Sonic, Goku, Mike Haggar, Ninja Turtles and others.

Here's 2010's Battle Kid: Fortress of Peril for NES. Known for being unusually hard and frustrating.

Fix-It Felix Jr. was officially ported to the NES for a mini arcade toy. I think this is the same ROM?

Fix-It Felix Jr. was unofficially ported to Sega Genesis and Commodore 64, and to the Atari 2600 as Fix-It Felix Sr.

Segata Sanshiro is a fictional character created by Sega to advertise the Sega Saturn in Japan between 1997 and 1998. He is a parody of Sugata Sanshirō, a legendary judo fighter from Akira Kurosawa's film Sanshiro Sugata.

Unseen in years, in these two new adverts for Sega's 60th Anniversary, Segata Sanshiro passes the torch to his teenage son.

Hiroshi Fujioka (Segata Sanshiro) was also the original Kamen Rider.

The Game Gear micro. Why, Sega? Why?

The tiny Game Gear Micro is silly.

Its lineup is also full of Japanese RPGs unreleased in the US.
