I'm still waiting for a source on it, but according to internet rumors Japanese magazine Famitsu rated Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric 9/9/6/7, which apparently means that 2 people thought the game was amazing, one okay, the other good.

This is relevant to another topic that regards this new Spin-off series, and how Sega is the spitting image of a goofy cartoon company, for years they've been trying their hardest to make Sonic appeal to the Japanese crowd with little success, and that Sonic Boom's idea was that it's going to appeal better to western audiences while they focus on Regular Sonic and try to make it more fitting for the still small Japanese crowd, so much that initially they weren't going to release it in Japan, until they did and it turns out that some Japanese gamers liked the new designs/gameplay changes so much that during conventions and interviews the people playing the game seemed to be mildly enjoying it, so Sega decided to release the game in Japan as ''Sonic Toon''. This might not be 100% true, though, the only way to really prove that the Japanese support Sonic Boom is seeing how well it's selling in Japan, and an actual source to the Famitsu review.

So apparently I found a torrent for old the Limbo of the Lost demo for the Amiga, I thought of playing it just for kicks and make a video of it since the only known upload of it was deleted, but there aren't any seeds at all for this. There's also a random download I found around the internet but I need an Amiga emulator to play it.

Here's a link to it, it's the big blue button on the way down.

Those have gotta be some awkward conversations. But I do find it somewhat comforting that many of the people sending such threats are 10 years old. That means they've still got some time to grow up.

How has it taken me all this time to realize that the world is full of cultural Marxists trying to outlaw sex?

This article about "Casino Games" for the Sega Master System is interesting, because I think as kids, we all had certain games which would never be the popular, recommended games like Super Mario Bros, and which would be odd to look back on today, but which we played a lot because they were games we had.

I know I had some peculiar choices - peculiar favorites even - for the NES, and playing a game of poker on the Sega Master System sounds about right to bring back memories like that. What would a kid know or care about poker? I know that for the Intellivision, we had Las Vegas Poker and Blackjack, and I played that about as much as action games like Burgertime and He-Man. (Beware the shifty-eyed dealer!) I almost certainly didn't understand what I was doing. Today, that's a pack-in game for the reproduction Intellivision you can buy at dollar stores. Burgertime and He-Man aren't ...

Here's Burgertime - the best Intellivision game we had, and superior I think to the NES version, somehow.

Here's He-Man.
