For some reason in 2006, the Playstation game Dance Dance Revolution: Disney Mix got a bad NES-based port. (Presumably VT03 or VT09.)

Hmm, Limited Run games is taking on a physical and merchandise run of Chex Quest, including a 3d/CGI remake.

You might remember the Chex Quest series as the cereal's version of DOOM.
(To the point where it's compatible with HD Doom mods and whatnot.)

The original Animal Crossing (Animal Forest) was the last game Nintendo released for the Nintendo 64 in Japan. It then got a Gamecube release in Japan, an expanded US release on Gamecube only, and a further expanded Japanese Gamecube release.

It's a difficult game for fans to translate from Japanese to English, but there are almost-complete translations available for the original N64 Animal Forest, and the expanded Gamecube E+.

For the Intellivision plug-and-plays by AtGames, it was typical for the developers (like China's Nice Code Software) to port the games to NES format, which is more common and cheaper to produce. Later on, an Intellivision emulator for NES was developed, but in the meantime these had to be full ports.

This also means that other bootleg-y plug-and-play systems, especially NES-based ones, got versions of Intellivision games ported to NES, like Devildom Doom, which is recognizable as Night Stalker. The graphics were changed to look like an NES original.

A few years back these weird ROMs were collected by Project PLUG 'N PLAY (Bleb, Kuck, Goof).
