Animatic I've made from the storyboards of the abandoned 2000's animated film, Big Bug Man. Really rough.

Congratulations on getting me to watch a couple of My Little Pony episodes, Garrett. :goblet:

This is definitely a unique take on the riffing genre--the fake director's commentary. And you're absolutely deadpan talking about how Rainbow Dash is so clumsy they have to green screen her flying scenes, or Twilight Sparkle plays the intellectual, but is really something of a party pony.

I found the episodes on-line here:

With Twilight, that must have been because of how Tara Strong plays her. Tara loves to play the "star," and is more "Hollywood" than the rest of the voice cast. It's not hard to push that farther and imagine Twilight as being badly-behaved.

I don't think I'd seen this review of my book Cratchit & Company before! This reviewer didn't quite understand the book ... but liked it anyway.

http://literaryrr.blogspot.com/2014/06/ ... rrett.html

It's interesting to see what people didn't understand about a book. Other reviewers haven't understood the "grey man" at the beginning, though I'd think that would be very clear with a reread! In this case, the reviewer didn't get the motivations of the spirits - why they were visiting Cratchit - which is a pretty major point! Maybe that'd be clear with a reread too.

Oh, there's been this really nice review too, recently:

Book-reader rated it 5 of 5 stars
I actually look forward to Christmas, now because it means re-reading this book to my family on Christmas Eve. It's replaced a Christmas Carol in our pantheon because it's shorter, and less familiar, but delivers the same message, beautifully written. I stumbled across it this morning and was happy to see it, as the weather has started to get colder. Haven't reviewed it yet, but thought I should. Buy it and read it, for goodness sake.

This is a good one too --

After several years of trying to fulfill credentials, I finally got to enter a Creative Writing class. My professor is amazing and encouraging, and my classmates are smart and a lot of fun to talk with. Since I'd like to publish a collection of short stories to get myself more exposure before publishing my novels, here's what I've written for Creative Writing thus far. Just like in my class, concrit is enormously appreciated and I'll accept all suggestions to improve my writing. :)

Mush-Run 2

A story about a haunted arcade machine, inspired by the "Polybius" urban legend. Based off an exercise where we doodled what our ideal perfect town would be like (mine had an arcade, a fountain, an creative arts school, an animal shelter, and a gigantic forest) and had to write a short story taking place in that town.

The Man of Their Dreams

Our professor had instructed us to write a story in the minimalist style ("Iceberg theory"). This was inspired by two conversations: the first I overheard while waiting in the hall for English class to start, and the second at a club between me and another member when today's topic discussed rape and violence. I'll likely make up new names in order to avoid copyright infringement.
