I'm just rolling my eyes because these rumors have been going around for years now, and were very clearly true many months ago. And it's taken forever for an announcement to be made, and in the meantime, fans who believed the rumors were ridiculed.

Ah well. As a missing episodes fan and obsessive, I look forward to finally seeing some of my favorite Who stuff.

From http://www.deborahwatling.net/News/index.htm

Deborah, along with Frazer Hines, will be helping the BBC to launch the newly found Dr.Who episodes this Thurs (10/10/13), between 3.30pm and 7.00pm approx.

Holy crap that's exciting. I don't even care that it's taken them so long to announce it. I'm just ready to get to see them.

Apparently it's The Enemy of the World (in its entirety) and The Web of Fear except for episode 3.

Other stuff too, probably. But those. Two wonderful Troughton favorites.
Those were also the names commonly cited in the "rumors" before today.

I had heard The Crusade and Marco Polo mentioned as well before today, and of course the rumor was that there were over 100 films in the haul, so we'll have to see about that once all the news is in.

Assuming this is true, the Web of Fear is still missing episode 3, which introduces Nic Courtney as Lethbridge-Stewart. Ironic!

If Enemy of the World has been returned, the last episode should also contain "that" trailer for The Web of Fear, with Troughton himself ...

I won't watch the recovered episodes (I'm not much into SF, even less Doctor Who) ; what interest me is the research, the neverending quest for lost items ! Hopefully there'll be more to come :D
