Here's an alternate copy of Docurama "Hands Up For More," which goes behind the scenes of Monster Maker and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2.

Sadly just a compressed 200MB version, from a source who posted it on Youtube. Not as good as Warrick's copy but no rolling dropouts, so hey.

Write me at gilchristgarrett at gmail for future Muppet updates.

Anyone in Maryland who can sneakily copy these copies of three Jim Henson Hour episodes? Ah, good quality!

(Or the Museum of TV and Radio ...)

Two Muppettelevision and Secrets of the Muppets.

Are these available online somewhere? I was going to do something similar using the Disney releases (including the mostly uncut German release of season 1), the TimeLife releases and home recorded episodes.

JHHBobbyMcFerrin-Restored.mpeg (1.18 GB)
https://mega.co.nz/#!8YcCVSgQ!QsuaawVPn ... 8mXxT9AXOI

Here is a complete DVD-formatted restoration of the Bobby McFerrin/Ratings Game episode of The Jim Henson Hour. "Miss Piggy's Hollywood" has not yet been included, as it's available in a rare Portuguese PAL DVD. I will eventually also release a version of this episode with "Miss Piggy's Hollywood" included and further work done on the sound.

While you won't mistake this copy for a retail DVD, it is a very good copy, made from three different off-air VHS transfers composited together, as provided by Guillermo Gomez, PanManthe2nd, and I believe Phillip Chapman, years ago.

Run it in VLC using Linear Deinterlacing and it's like you're back in 1989!

Noise reduction and other filtering was done, as well as careful editing to keep the footage in sync. Guillermo's copy was far better than the other copies, but was also a bit grainy and dark. The lower quality and smeary but more colorful alternate versions added a certain warmth to the picture which helped a lot.

A brief "World of Jim Henson" clip was also included in the mix, and the opening titles were restored using the Dog City and Monster Maker laserdiscs composited together carefully. The opening titles are definitely the highest quality material here, but I also put effort into restoring the "The Jim Henson Hour will return" bumpers, voiced by Jerry Nelson, as well as the Jim Henson Productions logo.

In fact, here they are in full quality:
JimHensonHour-OpeningMix.mov (160.7 MB)
https://mega.co.nz/#!RM8BjCoZ!FrCLUAoya ... nVt2AIrbAY

jimhensonprod-mix.mov (3.1 MB)
https://mega.co.nz/#!UZ0VjBTa!cGltuA358 ... g8QrpHxtkg

jimhensonhourreturn-fixed.mov (22.1 MB)
https://mega.co.nz/#!8JEgVC7Z!Ul5YFXQ0k ... CNmSe2PxaI

Three commercial bumpers here. "The Jim Henson Hour" is taken from the Dog City laserdisc, noise reduced and composited with two off-air VHS sources as well.

"Will return after these messages" is taken from six off-air VHS sources composited together (all from the Bobby McFerrin episode). The text was then noise reduced with matting in Photoshop to clean it up further.

"We now return" is taken from four off-air VHS sources composited together. The text was then noise reduced with matting in Photoshop to clean it up further.

The deleted scenes from the longer version of The Muppet Movie, as well as Jim Henson Hour Muppettelevision episodes, are up at Joe Davis' channel:

Here's a bit of The Today Show covering The Jim Henson Hour, as excerpted on MSNBC's "Time and Again," hosted by Jane Pauley. Warrick's Youtube copy of this is very ghosty so this is nice to see.

The ghosty version aforementioned:

And here is something that won't be up long, I'm sure - Joe Davis' upload of MuppetTelevision "Outer Space" (Louie Anderson). Rather a nice VHS off-air, which I'll be restoring once I have a few more equally good copies.

Muppet Movie camera tests on Youtube. I think the Blu-Ray had a longer edit.
