The official Tumblr for "The Muppets." - the new television show - is clearly run by a fan. They keep posting vintage photos, and just did a profile on Bean Bunny. It's quite a change from the 2011 and 2014 films, which just used the same few photos over and over again.

Ryan Dosier's influence?

Does anyone know if a high quality copy of Muppet Vision 3D was ever floating around the web? This isn't exactly great quality, but it's surely not filmed in the theater with a camera. Really curious if there's a high quality copy of the show available.

Very interesting. Low quality as you say, but from the source.

I've seen a lot of camera copies but nothing from the source before this.

This video also has a few higher quality short clips. Go to 6:17 in the video to see one of them. It also seems that that video's audio for the show was taken from a clean source, as it doesn't have any audience reactions or echoing that is in the camera recorded versions. If I find any other high quality clips, I'll post them too.

EDIT: Turns out that first clip with Bunsen and Beaker came from a CD, according to this uploader: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0tDJnUgwW1U

Those higher quality clips would be cam - they're zoomed in.

The actual 10-minute pilot for the new Muppets series. It's exactly what I expected from the trailer. The writing is very out of character and weirdly severs most of any history the characters have together. Gonzo and Fozzie are still the very strange-looking puppets from the recent films, and Fozzie isn't there performance-wise. However, the format of a weekly TV show will give the characters lots to do and say, so we'll see what happens. There's obviously tons of potential here if the show can use what it has and get over diminishing these characters so much.

"I really gotta admit, when I saw this as a kid so many years ago, I really thought this video was trying to imply The Second Coming or something like the Rapture."

But it's about circles. So intense.
