"It's the spirit I'm looking to for inspiration: joy and friendship; Muppets take care of each other; Muppets root for each other, even if Muppets drive each other crazy and get in each other's way. Muppets, at the end of the day, love each other. So that's what I try to make every single decision based on. I walked into the writers' room on my first day and wrote the word "joy" on the wall. That's what I'm trying to make every decision based on. What's the most joyful moment we can have here? What's the most fun we can have here? Let's let them do what humans can't do because they're puppets and they're silly. Just because they live in a human world doesn't mean they have to act like humans. Let's enjoy and play with what they can do."

About replacing Bob Kushell:
"This show I don't feel was broken ... I felt terribly and this is a terrible town. He was very sweet and wished me well quite a bit — and was very tired."

The beginning of "Secrets of the Muppets" as aired on the Odyssey Network with a different title card (no Jim Henson Hour branding).

The UK version of Fraggle Rock was believed missing - officially there are only twelve left in existence.

Alex has now uncovered all but nine of the series, in some form.

The four previously-missing shows from Series One have been found.

Beginnings

You Can't Do That Without A Hat

The Thirty-Minute Work Week

I Don't Care

While most of these are only in VHS quality, this now brings Fraggle Rock UK to just 9 shows missing (plus the three at the BFI that
fans can't get at).

A Happy Birthday to Steve Whitmire, and to the late Jim Henson. Henson started performing as Kermit the Frog in 1955. Whitmire took over in 1990.

Recently a TV transmission of Emmett Otter's Jugband Christmas included the uncut "Bathing Suit" song. Never before seen in the special's long history, but also cropped and 30p-ized to buggery.

Two versions of a Johnny Carson appearance from 1975 which also originally included the first appearance of Miss Piggy - cut from this airing:

Hi there, I'm just wondering if anyone has any active links to some of the Muppets videos listed throughout this thread?

All of the download links seem to be inactive or deleted and i am desperately searching for the best quality versions available. The ones on youtube are very low quality im afraid.

I'm looking for the following if anyone can help?

Hey! Cinderella
The Muppet Musicians of Bremen
The Muppets Go Hollywood
Of Muppets and Men

I am a massive Muppets fan and i really want to put these on dvd for my collection so if anyone can help i will be eternally grateful.

Thank You.

Hello Redmole. Sorry for the late reply, but I did not see this post until now.

Hey! Cinderella is actually a project we've been dealing with a lot lately.

Go Hollywood and Of Muppets and Men were dealt with previously.

I deal with this sort of thing via email rather than at this thread usually. The links are at Mega or wherever, and don't stay up forever, as I'm just chronicling when people are sending material back and forth.
