Remake of the missing 1965 Doctor Who episode Mission to the Unknown by the University of Central Lancashire.

This is an excellent (and I think very accurate) remake let down by the low bit rate that Youtube gives 480p (and even HD) videos these days. Perhaps we could have a higher quality copy on Vimeo or elsewhere? Or at the very least something upscaled.

Early on in this video, there's a clip from a sketch (with a Dalek in it) from The Wayne & Shuster show - Canadian comedians doing a few shows in the UK at the time, in September 1965, on the set of Mission to the Unknown apparently.

HBO Max has picked up Doctor Who, which is normally publicly funded by the BBC, and which has been skipping entire years for awhile. I believe HBO will force them to do a series every year. Hopefully that will work out.

This deal covers all of the post-2005 Doctor Who series (not including the classic 60s-80s Who).

I've mentally blocked out most of Steven Moffat's Doctor Who, but Chris Chibnall's Doctor Who gives the impression that he basically hasn't watched the show at all since the Russell T. Davies era, and is just following on from that. Bizarre. (And Rise of Skywalker-ish, even).

Chris Chibnall Doctor Who, Year One:

No returning characters and continuity. No returning monsters. We need to establish our own identity. A fresh start for new fans.

Chris Chibnall Doctor Who, Year Two:

The Master! Daleks! Cybermen! Judoon! Fuck it I'm Russell T Davies now.
