You can get a 4K Panasonic now for the price you'd pay for a standard 8mm camcorder in the 90s.

FakeApp is a program which uses machine learning to easily replace faces in video. It's stunning and terrifying technology since it can easily fake a performance, and the Reddit for it is Not Safe For Work since all people are doing with it is creating fake-celebrity porn. The implications are scary, but also exciting. I've shot a lot of movie footage which used stand-ins and stunt-doubles, and needed face replacement. I would love to dig back into that old stuff (or even shoot new stuff) and see what this technology could do. Maybe someone might want to join me in experimenting with this.
The program works in very low resolution at the moment, but it's enough to get results like this.
