Re: What are you working on?

Just started pre-production on my debut feature film last week. The amount of shit I need to start doing is daunting to say the least. Luckily I think the stars are aligning in just the right way and so far the amount of headaches have been minimal. In case anyone cares, it's a mockumentary about a ...

Re: The Thief and the Cobbler: Recobbled Cut Mark 4

I learned a long time ago that the best way to contribute to this project is with my mouth and my wallet (which I'm planning to do once bonus time comes around at the office!). And I'm a guy who's directing his debut feature film in a month's time. As an artist, it's important to rid yourself of del...

Re: The Thief and the Cobbler: Recobbled Cut Mark 4

Surely this has been said before, but better quality versions of Dvorak and the Air force theme should be in the final score.

Re: The Thief and the Cobbler: Recobbled Cut Mark 4

Are we seriously having this argument?

The One-Eyes are undeniably human. The reason they don't dodge the weapons is the same reason Wile E.
Coyote will willingly hold a bomb while it explodes. It's because it's funny. It's an extended visual gag, not some kind of realistic portrayal of warfare.

Re: 200 Motels - The Dental Hygiene Edit

That's interesting. I'll look into it more once I start my fanedit of Blair Witch 2, since I want to do it in HD and the only 1080p copy of the film is on VUDU.

Re: Beach Boys!

Bruce definitely wrote some killer tunes during the Carl era, but I think he worked better as a songwriter than a producer and I think having too much control over how his compositions should represent the band hurt his output. This is why I loved Carl btw, because he truly forced the band to step u...

Re: Beach Boys!

Gettin' Hungry is better than Little Pad, With Me Tonight, or Fall Breaks and Back To Winter? This is some true nonsense. :yumeye: Seriously....I....don't get the unwarranted hate for this album. All the elements that made SMiLE great are still intact, just sort of turned on it's side and presented ...

Re: Beach Boys!

I guess you either have to get what Brian was going for with Smiley Smiley ; which was to take SMiLE, strip it back, and crank up the wacked out psychedelia to 11; or you'll just view it as the "basterdized SMiLE" (which it wasn't btw, the Unsurpassed Masters bootlegs show that Brian knew exactly wh...
