Re: We're making a video game - Esperia

Hi Warren. It's cool seeing you here. I recognize you from a couple of Garrett's old films. I didn't realize you were a CS guy. I'm sure you could find some ways to contribute. Neither Garrett nor myself have done much in the way of 3D modelling, and he mentioned you'd done that before. The characte...

Re: The Video Games Thread

That's the thing, though, DKCTF and SM3DW are completely different from what Rise of Lyric was aiming for, it's a genre of 3D Platforming that hasn't been attempted in this scale for a long time, I'd say it was trying to be more like those platforms like the Ratchet and Clank games and that one Cra...

Re: The Video Games Thread

I'm not a current gamer so I don't normally comment, but what a mess. I do have sympathy for any third-party developer trying to work on Nintendo's underpowered, proprietary, secretive and unusually-laid-out systems. I understand why legitimate publishers tend to avoid Nintendo systems on their top...

Re: The Video Games Thread

About Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric: We all know that the final game is not by any stretch of the imagination a good game, it's average at best, but to say it's worse than Sonic 06 is just stepping on the retard territory for a number of reasons I suppose reviews need to be taken in the context of the ...

Re: We're making a video game - Esperia

I've been spending a lot of time lately learning about Unity and implementing various systems for Esperia. I've finally gotten a playable, albeit very early, demo. While the graphics here are temporary, it's a good platform to start prototyping the gameplay mechanics. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v...

Officer Darren Wilson's story is unbelievable. Literally.: http://www.vox.com/2014/11/25/7281165/darren-wilsons-story-side "Again, stop for a moment and think about that. Brown is punching Wilson, sees the terrified cop reaching for his gun, and says 'You're too much of a fucking pussy to shoot me.'...
