Re: The Thief and the Cobbler: Recobbled Cut Mark 4

Awesome! I wrote down the stuff that catched my eye besides the aforementioned extra storyboards with Yum yum and the nanny and tack fighting the thief at the end. - Thief and Cobbler logo over the approaching Crystal Ball - Old lady Narrator that was briefly heard in the Ruining the Thief WIP seems...

Re: The Thief and the Cobbler: Recobbled Cut Mark 4

I remember I made Mark 4 subtitles in portuguese and linked those to convert into english, but I don't think that was used, and it was re-made from the ground-up.

Re: The Thief and the Cobbler: Recobbled Cut Mark 4

Thank you Garrett for the upgrade. The Mark IV to me is still that zenith of fan-made restoration and I was beaming with joy when seeing your post earlier. I really rather not increase your workload by suggesting petty little edits, only that I'm looking foward to it, especially if there's a possibi...

Re: Animation Thread

He's looking too deep into the storyboards, my version only has that shot of Taran looking at his reflection in the water scrubbed in blue along with Fflewddur's ballad at the start, which probably cut or revision. Not to mention the version I have is not the version I included in my videos, which f...

Re: Animation Thread

I did acquire the storyboards through a fan and even paid some money to have them fully scanned for a future video, which sadly is still yet to happen because of other appointments. I'm analyzing the video and skipped to the part with the deleted scenes and these are my notes: - The prologue in the ...

Re: The Thief and the Cobbler: Recobbled Cut Mark 4

I made a little image, not so much to illustrate the topic but to show just how brilliant the lighting in this movie is - something often unnoticed. https://imgur.com/a/ps7nipF Top is from the color tests, aka nothing but the cels slapped on top of the background with a flat light on top - and shot ...

Re: The Thief and the Cobbler: Recobbled Cut Mark 4

I honestly didn't know about the process, Dennis. I knew it wouldn't be easy to do what you've done but now I admire your work even more. Also Garrett, congratulations on the raggeddy ann thing - best bit of news I've heard of in a while! I'm very excited to know how it looks compared to the Reel 1 ...
