THE EDITORS GUILD MAGAZINE
I started as a staff writer and interviewer for The Editors Guild Magazine in June 2008, under editor Tomm Carroll.
INTERVIEWS
Craig Wood, editor of Gore Verbinksi's Rango [coming soon]
MICK AUDSLEY : THE IMAGINATION OF MR. GILLIAM
In August 2009 I interviewed Mick Audsley, the editor of Terry Gilliam's film The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus, the final role for actor Heath Ledger. The double-length interview was published as a web exclusive.
SALLY MENKE : CUTTING FOR QUENTIN
The cover story for the August 2009 issue was my interview with Sally Menke, the editor of all of Quentin Tarantino's films to date, focusing on his most recent film, Inglourious Basterds. Sally JoAnne Menke was born December 17, 1953 and passed away September 27, 2010 at the age of 56.
MONSTERS VS. ALIENS
In December 2008, I interviewed Joyce Arrastia and Eric Dapkiewicz, editors of the Dreamworks 3D film, Monsters Vs. Aliens, for this cover story. They had a lot to say about the pleasures and challenges of editing a feature designed from the start as a 3D film, with the ability to alter that 3D animation as they went. All involved were quite happy with the finished article.
 NOW HEAR THIS!
My first article for the magazine, in June 2008, was this report on an evening honoring the art of animation sound design.
