GARRETT SAYS: One of the stranger jobs I've ever held was a licensing designer for Blisshouse productions, which at the time was producing Monty Python merchandise. Now I've been a fan of the Pythons for some time -- note the name of this site, PythoNET.org! -- but the call came out of the blue. I was flattered they thought of me -- Blisshouse's Jerry Houle had at one point created licensing for the creations of my comic strip artist father Guy Gilchrist, so I guess I was still on his list, and he knew I did a Python site and artwork, so ... well, I won't attempt to analyze. I did a bunch of drawings for Python Licensing, got paid and went on with my life. I designed many many products but one of the few to actually get made was Python TOILET PAPER ... my legacy, Python toilet paper. Buy it at your local Spencer's gifts. I did all the art for the toilet paper which was eventually put out by On a Roll. I even came up with the joke "this toilet paper can only be used ONCE!" I am not credited on the box.
